Change4Life Clubs is programme that aims to harness the inspiration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to engage the least physically active school children in physical activity and school sport.
Change4Life Clubs take the principles and specific skills from a range of Olympic and Paralympic sports and places them in a fun, vibrant and exciting activity club giving children the confidence and competence to take part in lifelong physical activity.
Primary Change4Life Clubs capture the essence of the sport without directly delivering sport-specific content, and are grouped under five themes:
We ask that Change4Life Clubs run for a minimum of 20 weeks per year with an emphasis on engaging the least physically active children in your school during the first 10 weeks of the programme. It is envisaged that after completing the first 10 weeks the children would have developed a habit of attending the sessions and will continue for the following 10 -20 weeks of the club
Change 4 Life Champions is an exciting training opportunity for both children and a member of staff to take an active role in developing and sustaining a Change4Life Club at your school. The route they take will meet the individual needs of your school and supported by Change4Life deliverers the Champions will develop new skills, gain new knowledge, support peers to engage in healthy active lives and be the healthy active lifestyle Ambassadors for your school.
More information will be emailed across to all schools in the Warrington and Lymm areas regarding Change4Life champions training throughout the year.
